Václav Boštík
Václav Boštík Václav Boštík was born in 1913 in Horní Újezd near Litomyšl, in Czechoslovakia, and studied drawing and geometry at the Czech Technical College, then painting for two years at the Academy of Visual Arts in Prague under Willi Nowak.  He first exhibited in 1937.

In 1941 he joined the group Umělecká Beseda, and later UB 12. From 1955 to 1959, he worked on the Memorial of Jewish victims in the Pinkas Synagogue in Prague. Represented in galleries and private collections throughout the world, Václav Boštík lives in Prague.
