Etgar Keret
Etgar Keret Etgar Keret was born in Tel Aviv in 1967. He is undoubtedly one of the most popular young Israeli authors. He began publishing short stories in the press in 1991 and his first collection, Pipelines, appeared in 1992.

His movie, Skin Deep, won the Israeli Oscar for Best Film. He writes comedy for Israeli television and lectures at the Tel Aviv University School of Film. His two short story collections and a novella, Kneller's Happy Campers, published in 1998 were instant best-sellers. Over 40 short films based on his stories have been produced. Etgar Keret lives in Tel Aviv.
